EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful intervention for healing those traumatic experiences of the past that create obstacles in the present day. EMDR has the power to resolve traumas that previous counseling work has been unable to heal.

Elizabeth has had amazing success using this modality to help people release these traumas at the physiological level. She works collaboratively with practitioners from various healing arts modalities and often recommends adding bodywork or energy work at key points in EMDR to support positive transformation. Her counseling work combines deep listening, awareness of thought patterns, EMDR, and the integration of mindfulness practices — and facilitates people’s ability to move more fully into the present moment and develop a greater appreciation for their innate resiliency and joy.

In addition to using EMDR to decrease anxiety and heal trauma, Elizabeth is skilled in using EMDR for performance enhancement. It is a powerful tool in removing blocks to achievement and building mental strengths and resources. Self-defeating behaviors, attitudes and beliefs can be modified and replaced with high-functioning behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs for positive, permanent change.
